Bike jumping is a great sport both fort the spectators and the sportsmen equally. Inside Rock Island State Park, 84 miles from Nashville , the Caney Fork Gorge attracts jumpers with its family of waterfalls dropping into one of the best little swimming holes in Tennessee. Cliff Jumping® is a 6-month program available to anyone with a phone.

In all honesty, the climb up the steep rock face was probably scarier than actually jumping but my mind was so preoccupied with my upcoming leap that I barely noticed. There is indeed something that attracts every adventurer to engage in the 25 feet dive landing feet first into the water below after a few somersaults.

Cliff Diving is very similar, but you always go feet first, again completely vertical with as little splash as possible. Serious cliff jumpers always check launch sites for slippery rocks, landing pools for debris and depth, and never try a jump they aren’t ready or practiced for.

Learn to swim first, and then maybe consider jumping once you’re comfortable in the water. You must hike up a rock face about 70 feet (21m) before you can even reach a point to make a dive. Some adventure tours incorporate bungee jumping, cliff diving, hang gliding, and similar activities in addition to hiking and more common components.

Gravity is a known phenomenon, and the water body below needs to be as deep as it can. We love the activity of canyoning but we must also admit that cliff jumping is among one of our all-time favourite activities. If it’s the wrong angle, you’ll likely hit something other than water and bring your illustrious new diving career to an untimely end.
